First, before you add a new business, you should search the LocalArea database to be sure your business is not already listed.
Checking if your Business is Listed
Option 1 - Search
On the LocalArea.com home page, you can search for your business by name, by location, or by category. Simply type your location into the ‘city/state’ field and/or type your business name or category into the ‘business search’ field, as seen below:
Option 2 - Browsing

From this page, you can use the letters at the top to sort businesses by the first letter of the business name.
Once you determine that your business is not listed, you can move forward with adding it to LocalArea.com.

There are a few ways to begin adding a new business to LocalArea, but they all follow the same process once you are started.
Adding a New Business from the Home Page
You can add a new business from the home page by clicking on the Add/Claim Business link at the top of the page. This will bring you to the business search page where you can enter your business name, then clicking the Add Business link, as seen below:
Adding a New Business from the Dashboard
You can add a new business from the Dashboard by clicking on the Add Business link within the Navigation Panel on the left side of your screen (you must be logged in first). This will bring you to the business search page where you can enter your business name, then clicking the Add Business link, same as when adding from the home page.
Choosing a Subscription Plan
Once you have chosen to add your business, the next step is to choose your subscription plan. Once you click the Add Business link you will be automatically taken to the Subscription page where you can choose either a Free or Paid package. Once you choose the package that is right for you, you are ready for the next step.
Next Steps – Paid Plan

On this page you can enter a promo code if you have one and then verify the details of your purchase. Finally, enter your payment information and click Submit.
